“When you lie down with dogs you get fleas”

Is this true, my friends? Is it kind of common sense that we get to move more closely with people who share our thinking, values, ideals, etc. Others pay attention to those you have chosen to associate with, and they will inevitably judge your character by the character of your friends. Why is that?  May be because, inevitably we become more and more like the people we surround ourselves with day to day. If we surround ourselves with people who are dishonest and willing to cut corners to get ahead, then we’ll surely find ourselves following a pattern of first enduring their behavior, then accepting their behavior, and finally adopting their behavior. This is true of organisstions, which is a group of people doing similar things to achieve a common objective. So, if you find governance has no respect at the top then you could assume that you cannot expect ethical positions to be taken by anyone in that company. If you want to build a reputation as a person of integrity then surround yourself with people of integrity. Your HR division would have to align their recruitment based on the culture you want for the company. At an interview both parties can figure out the type of person required for the job and decide immediately “to take or not to join”
