Life is too short to put up with fools

Walk away from anything or anyone who takes away from your joy. Life is too short to put up with fools.” – Unknown
Have you ever had the feeling that some people always are there to take everything from you, but never have anything to contribute towards your well being? I’m referring to office environments! They are there to ask you how to do their work, they are there to say how they can’t do their work, they will want your advice but will not implement and therefore waste your time, they are there to present their problems but never acknowledge your help, they will little by little take away your joy of working.

It takes courage to walk away from these people. They will criticize you, they will spread rumors that you’re not helpful, they will say you’re not a team player and they will convince the fools around them (birds of the same feather) that you’re not contributing to the business- whereas you should not be contributing to their business! These fools if you can identify them, will not let anyone walk the extra mile. Because, they will waste your time so much, you cannot do the extra mile that you’re capable of.

There are no traffic jams along the extra mile.”- Roger Staubach. But the fools I know would build road blocks before you reach the extra mile. So if you’re trying to help these type of people you’ll realize why a dog’s tail cannot be straightened. Eventually, if you don’t walk away, you’ll lose your joy and then you’ll have to get out, leaving the fools behind!

If you love what you do, stay away from fools who destroy your time…….
“Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it’s business or baseball, or the theater, or any field. If you don’t love what you’re doing and you can’t give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You’ll be an old man before you know it.”-Al Lopez
